Chimi Lhakhang (Temple) was built by Lama Drukpa Kunley (Divine Madman) in 1499. It is maintained by a monk with 42 trainees.
Guess what this is? – Cheese!
Passing by a small village while on the way
to Lama Drukpa Kunley’s monastery.
Team members giving out pencils and
some other goodies to the village kids.
Scenery on the way to the monastery
It was a pleasant half-hour walk through
the beautiful farmland / village to the monastery.
An unusual staircase
Beautiful Jacaranda tree outside the monastery
The young monks we met at the monastery
Chimi Lhakhang (above and below)
It was closed when we were there.
