I Can’t Put a Price Tag to It

It was time to say goodbye to Paro, to Bhutan. I felt like I was in a dream. For the country which had eluded me for so many years, for so many times, not only had I finally seen it, I was about to say goodbye… I was about to bid farewell to this beautiful, mysterious and mythical kingdom which is so isolated, and appears so remote to the outside world.

I was asked upon my return, ‘For what you saw, is it worth the money you paid?’ It is not what I saw that is important. It is the experience, the journey, the enrichment, the enlightenment, the self-fulfilment, the friendship and bond found and established. And for that, I can’t put a price tag to it!

I turned around to have one last look
at the hotel and took the opportunity to take
this photo. Saying goodbye is always difficult.

At Paro International Airport

Yes, the plane is there waiting for us

Everywhere you turn, the snow-capped
mountain is there, even at the airport.
